Alicia D. Carroll

Alicia D. Carroll is a playwright and television writer hailing from the DMV. She was most recently a staff writer on Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist (NBC), a writer for comedic live show and podcast Lovett or Leave It (Crooked Media), and a writer for Facebook Watch series Text Stories (New Form). Alicia is an advocate for consent-aware entertainment, which she discussed in her 2016 TEDxBeacon Street talk in Boston. She has participated in several fellowships and labs, including Film Independent’s Project Involve Fellowship, Women In Film: Insight Fellowship, and IAMA Theatre’s Under 30 Playwrights Lab. When she’s not writing, Alicia produces independent theater and currently runs See What Sticks, a staged workshop series in Los Angeles. Alicia is a graduate of Emerson College and currently teaches at The Writing Pad.
