Jenn Rapp
On Broadway, Jenn Rapp is the current Associate Director & Choreographer for Broadway’s The Illusionists, which has played annual record-breaking runs at the Marquis, Neil Simon, and Palace Theatres since 2015. Off-Broadway, she was the associate director of Squash (The Flea), Found (Atlantic Theatre Company), Bareat (New World Stages), Carrie (MCC), and Lucky Guy (Little Shubert Theatre). She directed and choreographed Prison Dancer (NYMF), for which she won an Excellence in Choreography Award. She also directed and choreographed Spamalot (Surflight Theatre), which earned her a BroadwayWorld New Jersey
”Best Choreography” Award. On television, Jenn was the associate choreographer for Cinemax’s The Knick, Showtime’s Happyish, and Z: The Beginning of Everything (w/ chor. John Carrafa). Jenn and John have worked together for many years in musical theatre, television, commercials, and on the original musical Finding Nemo, still playing at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom.
Jenn has traveled to numerous countries and worked with casts in English, Spanish, Italian, Turkish, Japanese, Portuguese, Dutch, German, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hebrew, and French. She is also the Choreographer & Associate Director for Disney’s new acapella music group, Dcappella, which toured the U.S. and Japan in 2019 and has spawned multiple television and video performances, as well as several productions on Disney Cruise Line. For Williamstown Theatre Festival, she choreographed and served as Associate Director for the new play, Song for A Future Generation, as well as for the original community-works musicals, Taiga In The Berkshires (writ. Lucy Thurber), and Once Upon A Time In The Berkshires. At Bucks County Playhouse, she was the Associate Director to Stafford Arima for the new musical A New World and, again with Stafford, worked on the Lincoln Center one-night-only concert staging of Ragtime (star. Lea Salonga, Norm Lewis, Patina Miller), and choreographed The Secret Garden (star. Ben Platt, Telly Leung). Jenn has extensive experience mounting national and international tours of popular cartoon television & film characters, of putting the characters from Madagascar, Dora The Explorer, Spongebob Squarepants, Thomas & Friends, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, and Scooby-Doo into original musical theatre productions. Twice a year she boards one of the many Norwegian Cruise Line ships to direct and choreograph their ongoing original production, Le Cirque Bijou, a mix of aerial circus choreography and dance, and to associate direct the NCL Broadway replica production of Jersey Boys.
