Michael Holland

Michael Holland is a multi-talented New York City-based artist with work across the entire musical spectrum. His orchestration, vocal arrangement, and production work can be heard on the 2011 Godspell Broadway revival cast recording, as well as Farah Alvin’s On Vinyl (Spring 2023). As a composer and lyricist, he has written scores for Twelve Angry Men (2022 World Premiere at Theater Latté Da in Minneapolis), Jonathan Lynn’s Clue On Stage (Paper Mill Playhouse, 2023 US Tour, 2022 UK Tour as Cluedo), Hurricane (NYMF), and You’re Gonna Hate This (Joe’s Pub, 54 Below). He has served as musical director and arranger for Turn the Beat Around (open-ended concert series at 54 Below), a critically acclaimed actor-musician production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Cleveland Playhouse), and countless New York cabaret and theatre performers. Michael has composed incidental music for various theatre companies, including Playwrights Horizons, Alley Theatre, Old Globe, Dallas Theater Center, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Juilliard, and NYU Tisch. Other orchestrations include Twelve Angry Men (Concord Theatricals), Emma: A Pop Musical and Clue on Stage (both Broadway Licensing). Recordings include four solo CDs of original music, as well as the World Premiere of “Another Day in the Modern World” on The Maury Yeston Songbook (PS Classics).
