Gregg T. Daniel

Gregg T. Daniel is a founding member of and Artistic Director for Lower Depth Theatre Ensemble. He is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Most recently, Gregg directed the World Premiere of Beaufield Berry’s In the Upper Room at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in February 2022 (w/ dramaturg Regina Victor, scenic designer Efren Delgadillo, Jr.). Gregg is also an accomplished actor with over 100 appearances in television and film roles. He is a proud member of the Stage Directors & Choreographers Society (SDC). He is a recipient of the NAACP Best Director award for the International City Theatre’s production of August Wilson’s Fences (LA Drama Critics Circle, Ovation, StageScene LA Awards nominations). Gregg is married to actress Veralyn Jones.


Last season Gregg T. Daniel directed GEM OF THE OCEAN, the first play in August Wilson’s decade-by-decade examination of 20th century Black life in America. This season he leaps over time to the last play of the 10-play cycle, RADIO GOLF, set in 1990s and focused on issues of money, politics and integrity that have only grown more urgent.
